- The government has started acting like it wants to guard the coast and demanded that BP get real containing the oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the weekend, telling the British oil giant that its slow pace in stopping the spill is becoming increasing evidence of reckless and wilfull disregard for the financial health and rights of others. the disaster fouled the coastline in ugly new ways Saturday.
- The federal official overseeing offshore drilling announced his departure Monday in a fallout from the Gulf oil spill. He got the benefit of the cozy suck, and will now take his money and run.
- BP --the oil company that sux -- hit a snag when they tried to connect its new silly straw to the sucking equipment a mile below the water's surface. BP PLC boss and blame spreader Doug Suttles said said the equipment had to come up for air before it could go back to sucking the long tube that connects to a tanker above.
- Scientists said video of the BP disaster leak showed the spew growing significantly darker, suggesting heavier, more-polluting oil is coming out.
