- HOUSTON – New numbers showing the amount of oil gushing from a well in the Gulf of Mexico may be double as much as previously admitted means the crude is likely to travel farther away, threatening more birds, fish and other wildlife that call the fragile waters their home, scientists said Friday.

- BP SUX, currently the champion polluter, informed the Federal governement today it is working to keep its title by using chemicals that will kill the small fish that feed the top of the food chains.
- Norway, the world's sixth-largest oil producer, and 10th-largest fish producer, has engaged in relatively safe and cautious offshore exploitation for four decades. In Norway it is safe to eat fish.
